DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN NEW DELHI
Tour begins with the tourists arriving in the capital city of India, Delhi. You will find our driver at the airport waiting to receive you (after customs clearance) and welcome you to the country of India. He will also help you in transferring to the hotel. You could check into the hotel and overnight stay in Delhi hotel.
DAY 02 : DELHI CITY TOUR
This morning after breakfast first you will visit old Delhi. The Red Fort & Jama Masjid are important places to visit, you may also visit Chandni Chowk, spice market etc. Later on proceed to visit the New Delhi. The Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus temple, Qutab Minar, tallest stone tower in India, imposing India Gate, President house, Parliament house and Laxmi Narayan Temple. Overnight stay at Delhi hotel.
DAY 03 : DELHI / JAIPUR (250 Kilometers / 5 Hours)
Depart in the morning after breakfast to Jaipur, the Pink City founded by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh. Half day city tour of Pink city and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Jaipur hotel.
DAY 04 : JAIPUR CITY TOUR
After taking breakfast, Visit Hawa Mahal (palace of winds) the land mark of Jaipur city, City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory, the largest stone observatory built by astronomer King Raja Sawai Jai Singh II in 18th century, Royal Gaitore, a royal cremation site of majestic rulers of Jaipur.Water Palace. In the afternoon, have an excursion to Amber Fort and Palace. Enjoy an elephant safari to explore the Amber fort, located in Amber (Jaipur), which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. The Amber Fort looks stunning, all-built in white marble and red sandstone. Overnight stay at the Jaipur hotel.
DAY 05 : JAIPUR / AGRA (240 Kilometers / 4 Hours)
In the morning drive to Agra via Bharatpur (Kaledeo Ghanna national park) and Fatehpur Sikri. The finest buildings within this area are the Diwan - i - Am, Diwan - i - Khas, Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, Birbal's Palace, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and the tomb of famous Sufi Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. The Bulad Darwaza is also a remarkable landmark built in 1575. Evening excursion to Taj Mahal and relish the view in the dusk. Overnight stay at Agra hotel.
DAY 06 : AGRA / DELHI (240 Kilometers / 4 Hours)
Morning after breakfast, Visit the Agra Fort. On route visit Itamad-Ud-Daula's tomb built by Empress Noor Jahan in 1622-25 and Sikandra, which is the tomb of Akbar. Visit Mathura and Vrindavan (Lord Krishna’s birth Place) and drive to Delhi. Check in hotel and Overnight in Delhi hotel.
DAY 07 : DELHI / AMRITSAR (440 Kilometers / 8 Hours)
This morning after breakfast drive to Amritsar (Golden Temple). After reaching Amritsar check in the hotel and drive to Wagah Border. It is located at a distance of 28 kilometers from Amritsar. People visit Wagah border to see "Beating the Retreat" ceremony performed by the soldiers in evening. Soldiers from India and Pakistan perform a flag march. The flags are both the countries are brought down. Then the gates between India and Pakistan are opened. Soldiers perform some drills and then the complex is illuminated. The whole ceremony takes about half an hour. After drive back to Amritsar and overnight stay in Amritsar hotel.
DAY 08 : AMRITSAR / CHANDIGARH (240 Kilometers / 4 Hours)
This morning after breakfast visit The Golden Temple or 'Hari Mandir', situated in Amritsar, Punjab, is the most sacred temple of the Sikhs. After Visit Jallian Wala Bagh, the place noted for its most notorious massacre under British rule. Drive to Chandigarh and Overnight stay in Chandigarh hotel.
DAY 09 : CHANDIGARH CITY TOUR
This morning after breakfast visit Rock garden. Chandigarh rock garden is an epitome of creativity and innovation. It is a unique garden that consists of various art objects. But the best part about the rock garden is that each of its artwork has been made by using industrial & urban waste. Visit Sukhna Lake, a beautiful lake that lies in the foothills of Shivalik range. The unique thing about Sukhna is that it is a manmade lake. It is a 3 km long lake that was created in the year 1958.Overnight stay in Chandigarh hotel.
DAY 10 : CHANDIGARH / NEW DELHI (250 Kilometers / 5 Hours)
This morning after breakfast drive to Delhi. Return to Delhi and have a small visit in Delhi and after dinner proceed to Airport or Train station for your onward destination with a lot of memories of your travel with KALKA TRAVELS.
